This ‘rustic camping’ environment welcome festival goers and gentle jammers who are willing to be respectful, peaceful and neighbourly.

Camping registration forms will be provided IN THE LINE UP and must be completed before entering the campground. Campsites are limited to 6 persons and assigned an ID #. More than 6 must register a second site.
Campers can register and reserve an adjacent site (bring your own tarps or tape) but they must pay the fee in full and leave FULL NAMES at the Camping Box Office. Latecomers must supply ID to claim their wristbands.

Family Camping and Quiet Camping:
NEW* In 2010 there will be an area dedicated for campers who want to camp in a family friendly zone. This area is available on a first come first serve basis and is intended to create a gentle mellow space for our campers who don’t do the the “full on all night jammin till the sun comes up”.
Please keep in mind that this is a campground with thousands of campers. Vancouver Island MusicFest can make NO guarantees regarding totally quiet and peaceful nights sleep. This is a festival and music and merriment will be made. Please remember to bring ear plugs…a cheap and easy solution for all ages!! We have them for sale as well.

Agressive, loud or disrespectful behavious and underage intoxication will not be tolerated. Disregard for these guidelines will result in you being asked to leave (or removed by security or RCMP) from the campground.
Safety and Courtesy:
NO open fires, tiki torches or open flame. Candles or lamps must be in fireproof containers. We are in a dry grassy pasture…use a container for your butts! If you have a propane stove (inside RV or outside) you MUST bring a fire extinguisher.
Ensure guidelines and structures do not block fire lanes.
NO drum circles, amplified music or canned music are permitted ANYWHERE at ANYTIME in the campground.

Campers must remove their own garbage and recycling throughout the weekend and take to central waste stations. Keep your space clean and respectable!

Campers who do not demonstrate care for self, care for others and care for the festival WILL be removed from the campground and have camping passes revoked without refund. Camping at VIMF is a privilege. Dangerous or obnoxious behaviour will NOT be tolerated.
If you cannot name at least 5 performers playing at the Festival you are in the wrong campground. Pop quizzes may occur at any time.
Eat. Drink Water. Rest. Wear Sunscreen. Take Care of Yourself. Take Care of Each Other.
