Canada Revisited Special Collaboration Concert

The historic list of Canada’s songwriters is long, varied and impressive.
We collectively have a library of songs that speak to our roots and our varied histories.

“This collaboration will bring together folk, blues, country, jazz, soul, and Indigenous musicians from B.C. and other parts of Canada to celebrate, revisit and interpret songs from the catalogue of the great Canadian songwriters, both obscure and well known.”

Festival Artistic Director, Doug Cox along with musician/Producer Steve Dawson will curate an evening mainstage show featuring a collection of songs from Canada’s past and present. These songs will be reinterpreted by a full ‘house’ band put together specifically for this MusicFest collaboration. Some songs will be well known and others will be by lesser known Canadian songwriters who never achieved the recognition they deserved.

Canada Revisited is partially funded by a generous Grant received from the BC Arts Council. We thank them for their contribution and for supporting Live Music.
