Alex Lamoureux is currently 17 years old and in Grade 11 at Highland Secondary School in Comox, BC. Born and raised in Manitoba, Alex (who is Metis) followed his mom around to old time dances, fiddle camps, and performances. He first picked up the fiddle at the age of 5, after having been exposed to the fiddling of his mom, Patti Kusturok.
