Welcome to Vancouver Island MusicFest and thanks

This is an exciting time for Vancouver Island
MusicFest! 2008 is our 14th anniversary and for the past four years
we have sold-out our event - a phenomenon unheard of with most roots
music festivals. Each July for three days, over 8000 people come
to experience the Comox Valley and Vancouver Island MusicFest and
that number keeps growing!
We feature national and international roots and
world music for three days at the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds.
Over 900 community volunteers join forces to bring this event to
the Comox Valley each year. Our event is free for kids under 7 and
discounted for seniors, youth, and persons with disabilities.
Our event relies on the generosity of volunteers
and community sponsors to bring it to life! This includes both cash
and ‘in-kind’ contributions. We operate on a cost recovery
basis with any surpluses allocated to a “rainy day fund”
– to guarantee our ongoing survival should the weather impact
our level of attendance. From food to fencing and from tents to
kids craft supplies – community sponsors are integral to our
event!
Sponsorship benefits include poster, program and
website recognition, VIP and back stage passes to our event, banner
and kiosk placement on the Festival site and opportunities for partnered
promotions and advertising.
